Year 3 Remembrance Day Worship - NOVEMBER 10, 2021

In Year 3, Miss Park arranged a Remembrance Day worship. We listened to ‘Jack’s Story’.

Jack was a gardener in Hoghton at Hoghton Tower. He went to France and was injured in 1917 during WW1. His Mother received two telegrams from the War Office detailing his injuries which stated that he was not expected to survive. Jack made it back to Hoghton where he died of his injuries in the family home. After the war, his two siblings had children who were both named ‘Jack’ in his memory. They are now almost 90 years old and are pictured below. The children loved the worship and understood that all of the fallen had families who loved them dearly.

We will remember them.
