Geography
Our Geography Curriculum
Our Geography curriculum studies the places and the relationships between people and their environments. Like true Geographers, we will explore both the physical properties of Earth’s surface and the human societies spread across it. We will also examine how humans interact with the natural environment and the way that locations and places can have an impact on people. We aim to create an understanding of where things are found, why they are there, how they develop and change over time and celebrate cultural diversity. We aim to inspire pupils with a curiosity and fascination about the world and its people that will remain with them for the rest of their lives.
Within our St Ignatius’ Geography Curriculum we cover the concepts outlined in our Curriculum Overview which help us understand the world around us, how people interact with their environment and how we can make responsible choices for a better future.

Flashback 4
At the start of every lesson, we look at our flashback 4. This provides an opportunity for knowledge retrieval covering what we learnt last lesson, last week, last term and content covered previously linked to our key concepts.
