Children in other year groups must continue to be home-schooled, unless they are in the School’s Key Worker group.
Update: Wednesday 10th June 2020 Dear Parents / Carers Once again, Lancashire schools have been advised not to reopen to Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 pupils, for the time being. This advice will be reviewed each week. I will continue to keep you updated. The government also announced that a full school re-opening would not be possible until September at the earliest. This means that there is no possibility of Years 2,3,4 and 5 returning to school this academic year, so home-schooling will continue for these year groups. Thank-you for all your hard work home-schooling your children, I know from experience that this is a very difficult task, even with the excellent resources provided by the teachers. Please continue to assist your children with this. New resources are uploaded to the website each week and paper copies can be collected from the school entrance between 10am and 2pm on Monday to Thursday, and 9:30am – 11:30am on Friday. We continue to work hard to keep in touch with all our school community but if there is any assistance that you need please do not hesitate to contact us by email or phone. Kind regards Mr Hough Important Update: Thursday 28th May 2020 Dear Parents Last night, Lancashire County Council strongly advised all Lancashire Schools NOT TO RE-OPEN to more children. The governors have decided that they must adhere to this advice and therefore St. Ignatius’ WILL NOT RE-OPEN as planned. Key Worker / vulnerable children will attend on Monday 1st June but we will remain closed to all other pupils (who will continue to be home-schooled). Thank you for your continued support during this extremely difficult time. Mr Hough Friday 22nd May 2020 Please read the letter below regarding a possible wider opening of the School.
